DIY Silicone Putty Mini Frame Molds for Polymer Clay from Ivanka's little treasures



Hello everyone...

My new project is here! This video shows you how to make your own molds of any kind of resin you like. One reason I like using this Silicone Putty even though is a little expensive, is that you are able to put it into the polymer clay oven and bake it with the polymer clay. It is very easy to use. You just mix together same amounts of both white an purple silicone and make sure that you can't see any white when you are done. You need to completely mix it in. You have to work fast because when these two silicons mix together they will get hard in a few minutes. You have to prepare all the resins you will need and push them into the putty immediately when you mix it together. Make sure the resin is completely pushed in. Don't push the resin too deep because if it goes too far it will hit the surface of your table and make a hole from the other side. It is still OK to use it but it's nicer not to have any holes in your molds. Let it sit for few minutes it will get hard fast and you will be able to push the resin out. Before you push it out you can cut the excess edges off so it is easier for you to know how much clay you need to push into the mold and how flat you need to make the surface before you bake the polymer clay in it. But that is optional. Now you are ready to make as many copies of your shape as you want.
